Hello friend! :)
Welcome to my author website, I’m glad you could stop by!
Here’s a little bit about me.
I’m a first generation American born to South African parents, and growing up home was both a multicultural small town and the liminal spaces of international airports as my family traveled the world. Seeing how big the world was inspired me to begin telling stories long before I could write. As I grew, I started building worlds of my own with my animal figurines and writing bedtime stories for my cousins.
I’ve also had an intense longing for friendship with God as long as I could remember. Some of my earliest memories are of sneaking into my dad’s pastor office to pray because I thought maybe I would see God there.
When the time came around for college, it was only natural that I chose to double major in english and religion. I graduated in 2021 with my honors thesis on psalm 90, the psalm of Moses, a man who reminds me of myself in many ways.
Now, I’m working to capture that essence in my debut novel, centered on Moses’ coming-of-age and themes of displaced identity, found family, love for stories, and a longing to see God’s face. Think: the chosen x prince of Egypt. I’ve grown to really love the story of Moses, and I think you’re going to love it too! :)
